Round One:
Sugar Cookies

Delicate, sweet, and relatively easy to make, the classic sugar cookie is the perfect baking battleground. Our bakers cooked up two identical batches (apart from the sweeteners), and the results speak for themselves. The Truvia cookies came out with pleasant texture and shape, and just the right amount of subtle browning. US competitor cookies were underwhelming; with a not-quite-right color, lumpy texture, and odd shape.

Round Two:
Banana Bread

A true kitchen classic, just about every baker worth their salt has tried their hand at Banana Bread– which makes it a perfect recipe for our competition. How did Truvia fare against the US competitor? The Truvia loaf had a better rise, better browning, color, and a better banana bread texture. The US challenger fell a little flat in all categories.
